from his Good Old Boys album.in between celebratory breaths of Mother's Day air I worked on a review of Sail Away, a compilation of Randy Newman songs by various and asundry Americana artists. unfortunately or not, "cherokee county" wasn't among them. but the oversight gave me a chance to play the tune over and over, my own vocal interpretation right on top, practicing up for my big comeback.
