so I'm listening to the Violent Femmes' Viva Wisconsin disc to prep for writing an advance for their March 9 show in Cleveland (no thanks to Femmes management who nixed a phoner while suggesting that I might submit ten questions to Brian Ritchie via e-mail - uh, no) when I learned that Dick Cheney shot a man while quail hunting in south Texas.

I wish there was a joke in there somewhere.
